Appointments
Appointments can be arranged for in person or online (via zoom).
Cancellations and Holidays
Please can you inform me of any holiday dates in advance. If sessions need to be cancelled, please inform me in a session / email / text. I appreciate that unforeseen events occur, but where possible I would appreciate a weeks’ notice.
Following the initial free consultation and where payment has been pre-agreed, if a session has been missed (dna’ed) or if you cancel within 24 hours of the appointment, that session will be charged at the full rate*.
Confidentiality
Confidentiality means that no information that you share within the sessions with me as a counsellor is disclosed elsewhere, other than the following instances:
- Supervision – Supervision for counsellors is an essential part of our work and is a requirement by the ACCP (Accredited Counsellors, Coaches, Psychotherapists and Hypnotherapists)
- Your counsellor (Michelle) reserves the right to break confidentiality if she sees there is a safety concern of a person or a minor. If such a situation were to arise, you the client would be informed of the counsellor’s intentions if at all possible.
- If subpoenaed by a court, your counsellor will have no immunity from contempt of court.
- Where you the client give consent – e.g. accreditation application, reports etc.
Complaints Procedure
If you have a complaint about the counselling you can raise this in the appointment, emailing or arranging another meeting to discuss. If this is not possible or suitable you can raise concerns by contacting the ACCPH Complaints about Therapists & Coaches
Evaluation
Your counsellor may ask you to complete an evaluation form to give feedback about your experience and any changes you have noticed. No names are used on the review forms and the information gathered will be treated as strictly confidential.
Methods of Payment*
Payment can be made either by cash or BACS either before each appointment or on the day of the appointment.
